KKOOAPP is a marketplace for Tanzania, built in Swahili first.
A place to buy and sell what is near you — a phone in Kariakoo, a fridge in Ilala, a fundi two streets away.
You can look around without an account. Signing in is only asked for when you want to post something, save it, or message someone, because those are the things that need a name attached.
Most buying and selling here happens in Swahili, so that is the language the app is written in. English is the translation, not the other way round.
You can switch between the two at any time from your profile.
KKOOAPP does not take payments, hold money, or deliver anything. It introduces you to someone nearby and gets out of the way.
Every deal is agreed directly between buyer and seller. That means the care you take meeting a stranger is the care that protects you — the Safety pages in the app are worth reading before your first deal.
KKOOAPP is built by EJLI Innovations LLC.
It is early, and it is being improved constantly. If something is broken or missing, telling us is genuinely useful.
